Aurora BioScience is a leading and respected medical device distribution and marketing company that provides high-tech medical devices specialising in Blood Technologies, Oncology and Medical Innovations. For over 16 years, Aurora have supported healthcare providers and patients across metropolitan and regional areas of Australia, throughout New Zealand and around the Pacific Islands.
With the head office located in Sydney Australia, our growing product range includes some of the world’s most innovative medical products and solutions. Aurora’s specialty medical devices are specifically chosen for its ability to assist clinicians in improving patient outcomes and to enhance a patient’s quality of Iife. Aurora BioScience is the exclusive distribution partner for 20 of the world’s leading medical device manufacturers. Our customers include the various Departments of Health, the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, GenesisCare and most public and private hospitals across the region.

It all started with a powerfully driven team, coming together to fill a void in the healthcare arena. Blending their distinctive areas of expertise within medical devices and biotechnology and creating Aurora BioScience. With over 30 international partnerships brought into the ANZ region, the team are focused on delivering unique and innovative medical devices and technologies to improve patient treatments and their outcomes.
DARREN BANKS
Managing Director

A hands-on leader with over 28 years’ experience in the Medical and Healthcare industry. Darren’s experience with several multinationals in medical devices and pharmaceuticals has led to exceptional results.
As a Director of Marketing and Operations, Darren was responsible for creating and implementing corporate strategic business plans, new product identification and contract negotiations with suppliers and Government Agencies, as well as unique, tailored business expansion models that have successfully driven continued sales and profit growth across varied market segments. During this time, Darren was responsible for regional sales of over A$300M.
Whilst at Baxter Healthcare, Darren became intimately involved in the blood banking sector. He was responsible for creating and developing the Biotech (BioScience and Fenwal) Business Unit in Australia/New Zealand for Baxter and managed the implementation of numerous new products that provided significant business growth during a 6 year period.
In 2005, Darren started Aurora BioScience with his Co-Directors.
MANDY CRISPIN
Operations Director

Mandy Crispin has 25 years of healthcare sales, marketing and general business experience. Mandy also held various sales, marketing, financial and operations director related positions, operating at a strategic level and implementing programs for a broad range of highly technical blood banking technologies, pharmaceuticals, vaccines and other medical devices, in the fields of haematology and oncology.
Over the years, Mandy’s business development and commercialisation expertise was instrumental in the strategic development and execution of launch activities for biotech products in the diverse fields of vaccines and recombinant proteins. These products were successfully launched into the local market and have rapidly gained market dominance and now, market leaders, within the first 2 years achieving over A$140M turnover and doubling this the following year.
Throughout Mandy’s career she has developed long term, valuable relationships with key decision makers across varied customer groups. These relationships have proven to be integral in the continual commercialisation success of Aurora BioScience of which Mandy is a co-founder.

GLENN MOORE
Executive Director

With over 30 years of extremely diverse, international experience gained within the healthcare medical device industry, Glenn has worked in Belgium, leading multifunctional teams in the development and commercialisation of a range of multi-million dollar products targeted to the global healthcare industry.
After 7 years abroad, Glenn returned to Australia to become instrumental in driving the success of numerous product development, commercialisation and market expansion initiatives focused in the areas of blood banking, haematology, oncology and transfusion medicine.
Glenn’s success has been due to his ability to ensure products are customised to meet relevant local market requirements and his well-earned, level of professional respect in this technical market segment. He has developed and fostered innumerable solid client relationships throughout the years that have formed the basis of his ability to deliver continued sales and profit growth to his employer and since to Aurora BioScience.
Glenn is a co-founder of Aurora BioScience where he continues to work on providing outstanding customer support delivering quality, critical products to meet the needs of the Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Islands healthcare industries.
